                 Some details on the H3N2 virus: Definition : The H3N2 virus is a subtype of the influenza A virus, which causes seasonal flu outbreaks in humans. History : The H3N2 virus first emerged in humans in 1968 and is believed to have originated from a mutation in an avian influenza virus. It caused a global pandemic that killed an estimated one million people worldwide. Symptoms : Symptoms of the H3N2 virus are similar to those of other strains of the flu and may include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, fatigue, and congestion. Transmission : The H3N2 virus is highly contagious and spreads through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes. It can also spread by touching contaminated surfaces and then touching the eyes, nose, or mouth.
